The Many Moods of Christmas
Description: Greenwood Singers continues its 31-year tradition of exploring the varied facets of music for the Christmas Season with the 2011 edition of The Many Moods of Christmas. From the motets of Renaissance Europe to sparkling arrangements of beloved Christmas carols to favourite popular holiday songs, you won’t want to miss this annual musical celebration of Christmas. The choir will be accompanied by pianist, Helen Stuart, and organist, Marnie Giesbrecht. The program will also include the lively music making of the University of Alberta Faculty of Education Handbell Ringers.

All Things English
Description:Each spring since 1981, Greenwood Singers has presented a program of choral music from Renaissance to Broadway. In All Things English, the choir will take you on a journey that begins with the sacred and secular music of the Elizabethan age. This musical voyage will include part songs by Elgar and Vaughan Williams and lush arrangements of English folk songs. The program will conclude with lively selections from Cole Porter’s Kiss Me, Kate — the award-winning Broadway musical based on Shakespeare’s The Taming of the Shrew.
